Hello, I am Joel Giorgio, owner of and a lead DJ for Greenbelt DJ Productions. In 2011, I will personally DJ about 120 weddings. I bring to the table experiences from 500 weddings in the last six years. If you are looking for a cheesy wedding DJ, I'm probably not the right guy for the job!
I moved to Austin in the mid 1990s to attend the University of Texas, at which time I developed a high interest in the techniques DJs were using to mix live with turntables. I finally graduated from UT with a 2001 Bachelor of Journalism, after which I received a masters degree in autism education. While studying education, I taught young children with various disabilities for Austin ISD before finding my path to becoming a mobile DJ. At age 36, I almost exclusively DJ weddings in Austin, but do travel for a nominal fee and will consider doing corporate events and fundraisers.
Mixing live using turntables sets us apart from our competition. We use the classic Technics 1200 turntables and industry-standard Serato Scratch Live. We use a technique called beat matching so that there are seamless transitions between songs. We are one of just a few wedding DJs in Austin that mix live and do it really well. If you hire a DJ that mixes live, your dance floor, in most cases, will be filled with more energy and people!

He also mixes live using turntables with seamless transitions between songs. Anthony, age 30, has a degree in architecture from the University of Texas at Austin, but DJs weddings full time and has an amazing wife.
Anthony and I did not aspire to be formal event DJs, but we approach our jobs with the same ambition to be successful and honest that drove us to get formal educations, and for me, become a teacher. In other words, We humbly take our jobs very seriously and do not cut corners; we are very thorough and meticulous in our preparation for each event; professional from day one; and we spare no expense on quality sound and lighting equipment. Missing an event is not an option!
